Humor at it's Best, I guess!About three weeks about three weeks ago I was getting dinner ready and Ellie walked in the kitchen with her hair looking like this....
And this...

And this...

And my front room floor looked like this. I about died!!! Those of you who know me know that I am very partial to long hair. To make the story even better, her little brother Ashton is the one who cut her hair, but under her direction. What do you DO!! Thankfully I have a neighbor across the way who was home and took the time to fix what had been done.

Thankfully it is cute but let me tell you people, I don't have 20 extra minutes Sunday morning to round brush my 5 year old's hair. BAH!!! Ellie told my friend Lisa something like this, "yeah, I wanted short hair but I knew my mom would say no, so I had Ashton cut it." For those of you who know Ellie, this isn't that shocking. All I can say is I love my daughter! I am pretty sure she figured that Ashton would be the one in trouble, since he did the cutting. Who did she think she was kidding?? Poor Ash was the innocent bystander. What a fun day!

She looks adorable! I find it ironic that her shirt says "sweet!" Miss you!
i was just thinking the same thing as molly..."sweet". I like it actually. It looks really cute on her. but, yeah, the round brush....mine is usually wet as it is.
And who could blame her for wanting hair that adorable. She is the cutest thing. What a smart girl. I would be worried!! :-) Miss you!
Emily, that is hilarious! Kids are too smart. She is adorable in that haircut. I had no idea that was why you cut it! :)
Ok,...now that is HILLARIOUS! She certainly has her little sass and isn't afraid to show it! Miss you.
Bah! What a surprise! She looks so cute with it short and I can't believe that she let her brother cut it- she was desperate for a new do! So funny. Growing up my dad and mom always wanted us to have long hair too and I have never cut mine short. I don't regret it since I love my long hair but I give my girls a choice how they want their hair- it's one decision that isn't going to kill them and they are always excited to choose. Surprisingly I have liked them having shorter hair because it tangles way less, is easier to do, and looks so healthy and thick. When my sister's little girl cut her hair she made a huge deal about how she wasn't pretty any more because her hair wasn't long, instead of emphasizing that she was beautiful no matter what BUT we don't cut our own hair. Anyways! Sorry about my novel- ha! Hope you guys are doing well!
that still makes me chuckle...but i'm so sorry for you!!! i'll do her hair on sunday mornings if you want! i'm not kidding!!!
